I’ve always struggled with my weight, my fitness, my nutrition….and how I looked and felt was impacted by this. Two years ago I started training for a marathon, lost a bit during training, but once I’d completed it decided I needed more so joined a Saturday morning boot camp with Ben in January 2023. No word of a lie I hated it, Saturdays used to be the only day I could lie-in if I wasn’t working, so getting up for an 8am class sucked, pair that with not being as strong or as fit as I’d like made for the perfect storm of negativity. However, I started to get stronger, I started to feel generally fitter and I started losing weight plus I’d forged some bonds with other ladies in the group which made it even more worthwhile. Fast forward to January 24 and I picked up an extra evening class and I did a 6 week reboot to help with my nutrition and mindset and that’s when the world and their mum started noticing I was looking so much better. Its now two years since I started losing weight, 18 months with Ben and I’m five stone down and walking taller, running better (still slow but better) but above all I feel like I belong when I rock up to my group sessions which is something I’d not felt elsewhere. People ask me all the time how I’ve done it and the truth is: hard work, it’s not a quick fix and it takes both exercise and diet over a sustained period with someone like Ben supporting you weekly. I have so much to be thankful for but having Ben in my corner encouraging me all the way has been key. The classes are structured to what is needed for the target audience (whether men, women, menopausal, younger, older) and adapted if you struggle with one thing or have a niggle but above all he really knows his stuff and is an expert in this. I am so grateful to have landed in Ben’s world because not only do I look and feel better but I feel like I’ve landed where I am meant to be to keep my fitness on the right track.
